New Testament Christian Churches of America

Evangelical Fellowship

The New Testament Christian Churches of America (NTCC) is a fellowship centered on Christ, committed to sharing the truth of the Bible and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Built on the conviction that Scripture is the inspired Word of God, NTCC has grown steadily from a small gathering of believers into a worldwide network of churches. Since 1969, its mission has remained unchanged: to teach the Word of God, baptize new believers, guide followers of Christ in their discipleship, and prepare leaders for ministry that endures.

Founding and Early Growth

The beginning of NTCC dates back to October 1969 in St. Louis, Missouri, where a group of devoted Christians came together to establish the New Testament Church of God. Their goal was to share the message of the Bible and to see lives changed through faith in Jesus Christ. The fellowship expanded, and in 1984, it formally reorganized as the New Testament Christian Churches of America. This change reflected both its broader mission and its growth across the United States. From its inception, NTCC has emphasized forming strong, Bible-based congregations and helping believers grow in their personal relationship with God.

A Global Mission

Today, NTCC oversees more than 100 churches across the United States and internationally. Its mission remains clear and focused: to proclaim the message of Christ to a world in need of hope. The fellowship is devoted to preaching the Gospel, baptizing believers in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, and building committed disciples of Christ. Church planting is a vital part of this mission, ensuring that people in both large cities and remote communities have access to the message of salvation.

Training Leaders for Tomorrow

One of the defining features of NTCC is its commitment to training men and women for ministry. The church provides seminary programs that prepare pastors, missionaries, and other leaders for service. These programs offer a balance of biblical teaching and practical ministry experience. The training emphasizes the authority of Scripture, the call to Christ-centered living, and the responsibility of shepherding with care. Many who complete these programs go on to serve in NTCC congregations or on mission fields around the world, continuing the fellowship’s focus on strong leadership rooted in biblical truth.

Milestones and Outreach

Over the years, NTCC has celebrated significant moments, including its 50th anniversary in 2019. This milestone marked five decades of faith and growth. The fellowship has also served U.S. military personnel and their families through chaplaincy and pastoral support, encouraging those serving both at home and abroad. Beyond the United States, NTCC has extended its reach to places such as the Philippines and Panama, carrying the message of the Gospel to communities in need and continuing its work in international missions.

Serving Communities Near and Far

NTCC remains active not only abroad but also within local communities. Its congregations often lead outreach programs such as food assistance, youth mentoring, and support for families facing challenges. These efforts represent the fellowship’s desire to demonstrate the love of Christ through both action and teaching. Across the United States, NTCC churches provide worship, fellowship, and spiritual care to people from many different backgrounds, building communities where faith can grow and thrive.

Leadership and Governance

The fellowship is guided by a board of directors, while allowing local churches the ability to manage their own affairs in many respects. This structure helps maintain unity of purpose across the organization while providing flexibility to address the specific needs of individual congregations. NTCC leadership is committed to integrity, accountability, and adherence to biblical principles, ensuring that the church’s mission continues faithfully.

Reaching the Digital Generation

Recognizing the importance of connecting with people in modern ways, NTCC has embraced the use of technology to reach a wider audience. Through platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and X, the fellowship shares sermons, devotional teachings, and words of encouragement with people worldwide. By using digital tools, NTCC extends its message beyond traditional church settings, making the Gospel available to individuals wherever they are. This approach reflects the church’s commitment to spreading the Word of God in every way possible.
